BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua)-- Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission on Tuesday signed an energy (natural gas) cooperation agreement with Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, aiming to promote energy connectivity and cooperation development.
The Xinhua-run www.cs.com.cn quoted Zhu Minglin, director of the Energy Department of the Shanghai's top economic planner as saying that the signing of the agreement means that overseas LNG resources will be continuously transferred from Shanghai to Zhejiang province through the pipeline system of CNPC, realizing the resource exchange and regional mutual protection between the two sides.
This cooperation is the first practice of the innovative cooperation development model in the energy field between Shanghai and Zhejiang.
Wang Jingjun, deputy director of the Zhejiang Energy Bureau, disclosed that through the joint efforts of Zhejiang and Shanghai, 140,000 cubic meters of overseas LNG spot resources were transferred to Zhejiang province through the pipeline system of CNPC, effectively protecting the natural gas supply in Zhejiang Province.
