SHANGHAI, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- The foreign trade of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) accounted for 42.9 percent of the total foreign trade in Shanghai in the first ten months of 2018, according to the statistics released by Shanghai Customs.
Since the China (Shanghai) Pilot FTZ has established in 2013, the number of newly-registered enterprises has exceeded 190,000, with total of 280,000 enterprises. From January to October, foreign trade value of China (Shanghai) Pilot FTZ saw a year-on-year growth of 5.8 percent to reach 1.21 trillion yuan.
From Germany, Man Diesel & Turbo Shanghai Logistics Co., Ltd. is the first pilot enterprise to carry out ship bonded maintenance business in Shanghai FTZ. At present, the company has increased its capital in Shanghai FTZ by 150 million yuan. Meanwhile, its Asia-Pacific distribution center project has been officially launched, and the application for setting up regional headquarter is also in progress.
