Ctrip ups Japan tourism market investment via Yokohama tie-up -- China's biggest online travel agency Ctrip has inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Yokohama to boost the appeal of the Japanese city to global travelers, Chinese tourists in particular. The two sides will partner in tourism product development and destination branding among others, according to a Ctrip statement released on November 20. The move is expected to facilitate two-way travel between China and Japan and jointly develop the cross-border cultural tourism industry, according to Ctrip CEO Jane Sun. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of sister-city ties between Yokohama and Shanghai, where Ctrip is headquartered.
Chinese pharmacy TRT makes its debut in Italy to promote Chinese Medicine -- Beijing Tongrentang (Group) Co., Ltd. (TRT, 600085. Jiangxi Copper reaches agreement with Antofagasta on 2019 TC/RCs -- China's leading copper producer Jiangxi Copper Corp. (600362. SH; 00358.HK) signed an agreement with Antofagasta Minerals, a Chile-based copper mining group, on 2019 copper concentrates treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs). According to the agreement, the 2019 copper concentrates TC/RCs will be 80.80 U.S. dollars per metric ton (tonne) and 8.08 cents per pound, down 1.45 U.S. dollars/tonne from that for 2018, marking the downtrend for the fourth consecutive year. The copper TC/RCs for 2015 were 107 U.S. dollars/tonne and 10.7 cents/pound.
Color Life Service (01778.HK) sets up JV in Vietnam -- Novel Era Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Colour Life Service Group Co., Limited (01778. HK) entered into an cooperation agreement with the Vietnamese Phy My Hung Development Corporation to set up a joint venture (JV) in Vietnam, according to the listed company's filing to the stock exchange. Under the agreement, the JV will be engaged in the development of a cloud platform for online to offline (O2O) business in Vietnam. Upon the establishment of the JV, Novel Era and the Phy My Hung Development Corporation will, respectively, own 33.33 percent and 66.67 percent of the equity interest in the JV.
China's Shenzhen opens 1st direct flight to London -- Shenzhen Airlines on October 30 launched the first non-stop flight between the southern Chinese boom town of Shenzhen and London. The first flight on the new route took off from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport at 2:10 p.m. on October 30, according to Shenzhen Airlines.
