BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) – As a key tourist destination under the Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative, Israel saw 3.4 million plus inbound tourists in the first ten months of 2018, up 15 percent on year, and tourists from China reached 85,000 during this period, according to the country's Ministry of Tourism who is holding winter roadshows in south and southwest China currently.
With the implementation of the Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative, China and Israel is strengthening bilateral exchanges in fields such as business, trade and culture, making business travel a hot spot of Israel's tourism industry development.
For instance, China's Internet giant Tencent plans to launch WeChat payment service in Israel, while another Internet giant, Alibaba, already began to provide Alipay service for Chinese tourists in Israel.
Israel's Ministry of Tourism believes that China-Israel innovative cooperation will bring a new round of growth for Israel's tourism industry. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
