BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- More than 380 Beijing-based enterprises signed around 800 purchase contracts with the international exhibitors at the just-concluded first China International Import Expo (CIIE), announced Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce on Monday.
The Beijing-based companies purchased a large amount of mechanical and electrical products.
For example, Schneider Electric (China) Investment Co., Ltd. signed an equipment supply agreement of 200 million U.S. dollars with its parent company.
Sany Petroleum Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. signed an equipment purchase agreement of over 22 million U.S. dollars with Caterpillar Inc.
HollySys Automation Technologies Ltd. signed a contract of 4.35 million U.S. dollars with Dell to buy computer related products.
In terms of people's livelihood, Beijing Xinfadi Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. signed a purchase agreement of 2.5 billion U.S. dollars to buy high-end food and agricultural product form large suppliers in South Africa and Thailand.
An animal husbandry company signed a beef purchase agreement of 130 million U.S. dollars with meat suppliers in Argentina and Uruguay.
In addition, the cross-border online retailer JD.com reached a preliminary three-year agreement of 130 million U.S. dollars with such companies as Dell, Panasonic and Qualcomm. COFCO signed an agreement of 24 million U.S. dollars with suppliers in Singapore and the United States. (Edited by Wu Shuang, wushuang2018@xinhua.org)
