BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- China International Travel Service Corp. (CITS), a leading tour operator, said Tuesday that its net profit jumped nearly 42 percent in the first nine months, boosted by strong revenue growth.
The company's net profit surged 41.79 percent to 2.71 billion yuan (about 388.68 million U.S. dollars) in the first nine months, it said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
CITS business revenue soared 64.39 percent to 34.1 billion yuan during January-September.
Earnings per share stood at 1.39 yuan, up 41.78 percent from a year earlier.
The company's sound performance came as the country's tourism sector boomed posting a revenue increase of 15.1 percent in 2017.
Its share price climbed 3.33 percent to 49.72 yuan Tuesday.
