BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Changsha, capital city of central China’s Hunan province has issued a first batch of test licenses for Intelligent Connected Vehicles (ICV) driving on open roads, and published the first testing section for driving.
The licenses were respectively granted by Hunan CRRC Times Electric Vehicles Co., Ltd, Baidu, Changsha COWA Zoomlion intelligent technology Co.,Ltd, and Changsha Intelligent Driving Institute, covering four kinds of automobiles, including intelligent bus, passenger vehicles, sanitation truck, and driverless heavy truck.
Earlier in April, Changsha unveiled the detailed regulation for road testing management for ICV. At present, a total of 27 enterprises in Changsha had been awarded national-level intelligent manufacturing demonstration enterprises. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
