BEIJING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Total revenue of China's software industry reached 4.50 trillion yuan (about 650 billion U.S. dollars) in the first three quarters, increasing 15 percent year on year, according to statistics released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
During the same time period, profit earned by the whole software industry was 568.9 billion yuan (about 81.77 billion U.S. dollars), up 14.4 percent year on year, and the profit growth rate of the third quarter (21.8 percent) was 11.6 percentage points higher than the second quarter (10.2 percent).
Exports of software industry grew slightly by 2.9 percent to reach 39.54 billion U.S. dollars in this period, of which software outsourcing service increased by 7.9 percent year on year. (Edited by Li Wenxin, Yang Qi, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
