Chancellor Angela Merkel has pointed to the "dramatic changes" that digitalization is bringing. Merkel told the BGA foreign trade association in Berlin on Monday that it was important for Germany to help shape digitalization. The world of work in particular is going to see significant change, she said, and this will have an impact on the labor market and education system. Merkel also reiterated the importance of artificial intelligence. She said that the federal government would be presenting a strategy on this issue in November.
