BEIJING, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Xinhua Silk Road, China's state-level information service platform focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative, on Thursday launched the latest series reports on the business environment of the 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland, in a bid to provide an objective basis for understanding the business environment in China.
This marks the fourth consecutive year of the publication. Compared with previous versions, this year's reports introduced three new indicators such as domestic trade, outbound investment and investment policy updates, in addition to the existing 50-odd indicators.

Updated annually, China business environment assessment reports cover nine aspects ranging from macroeconomic development to investment policy settings. The reports capture important dimensions of China's business climate by analyzing comprehensive quantitative data and tracking the changes of the investment policies. They also offer some practical advice on entering or expanding business in Chinesemarkets.
Xinhua Silk Road, developed by China Economic Information Service Co. Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xinhua News Agency, was launched in July 2015 to facilitate the business information flow between China and its Belt and Road partners.
