China is one of the largest wine producers and consumers in the world. Its baijiu boasts great development potential in the international market. As the leading baijiu producer, Wuliangye is accelerating its pace to go global. Through carrying out various kinds of promotion activities overseas, Wuliangye hopes to increase foreign consumers’ awareness of Chinese wine culture.

At the Chinese Cultural Center of Paris, Chinese and foreign friends were not only invited to taste the Chinese baijiu, but also shown five kinds of grain crops including sorghum, sticky rice, corn, wheat and rice which are used to brew baijiu.

For a long time, large wine producers in western countries have regarded the spread of wine culture as an important strategy of cultural transmission. Hence, the impact of traditional Chinese culture in the world, to some extent, decides whether Chinese liquor makers can expand their international influence.

Chinese baijiu producers are speeding up their pace in exploring global market under the Belt and Road Initiative. As a national brand in China, Wuliangye will take a lead in promoting Chinese liquor culture and serving as a bridge to facilitate people-to-people exchanges between China and foreign countries.
