BEIJING, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- China’s Ministry of Transport and related departments have jointly formulated a work plan (2018-2020) to address the inadequacies in transportation, which will be released soon, according to Wu Chungeng, the spokesperson of the ministry on September 27.
The work plan specifies that great efforts should be made to address six major inadequacies, including inadequacies in providing services for national strategy implementation, rural transportation development, transportation method,regional coordination, new-type urbanization and infrastructure.
Besides, emphasis should be laid on ten major projects, including transportation project in Beijing-Hebei-Tianjin and Xiongan New Area, Yangtze Economic Belt transportation corridor project, new-type urbanization transportation project, Belt and Road transportation project and so on.
Statistics showed that China’s fixed-asset investment in transportation had stood at 1.91 trillion yuan from January to August, up 0.2 percent year on year. (Edited by Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
