BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- A new route of China Railway Express to Europe, which directly links Tilburg in the Netherlands and the Chinese city of Changsha, has been launched on August 17.
Tilburg is the sixth largest city in the south of the Netherlands, while Changsha is a city more than 10,000 kilometers away in China's central Hunan Province.
Fully loaded with cargoes of electronic products, shoes, clothing and mechanical parts produced in Changsha, the train will arrive in Tilburg in 17 days via Mongolia, Russia and Belarus.
The new route is the seventh route of China-Europe freight train starting from Changsha. By the end of 2017, 320 trains were operated from Changsha, with the import and export goods of 26,000 TEUs and a total value of 1.3 billion U.S. dollars. (Edited by Bao Nuomin and Tong Wei, tongwei@xinhua.org)
