BEIJING, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- JD.com, a Chinese online marketplace, announced on Thursday its net revenue reached 122.3 billion yuan for the second quarter of 2018, showing a year-on-year increase of 31.2 percent.
According to the quarterly report, the net service income for the second quarter reached 11.8 billion yuan, up 51.0 percent year on year; and the income of logistics and other service in the first half of the year increased 151 percent.
As the core business of JD.com, JD Mall achieved a profit margin of 1.1 percent in the second quarter of the year, a significant increase from 0.8 percent in the same period of last year.
By the end of June 2018, JD.com's active users in the past 12 months were 313.8 million, an increase of 21.5 percent.
The company expects its net revenue in the third quarter will be between 104.5 billion yuan and 109 billion yuan, with an increase of about 25 percent to 30 percent year on year. (Edited by Bao Nuomin and Tong Wei, tongwei@xinhua.org)
