BEIJING, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Chongqing's total import-export value reached 228.83 billion yuan (about 33.55 billion U.S. dollars) in the first half of this year, up 11 percent year on year, according to the Chongqing customs
During the period, Chongqing's export value increased 13.8 percent on year to 147.05 billion yuan (21.6 billion U.S. dollars) and import value went up 6.5 percent to 81.78 billion yuan (12.0 billion U.S. dollars).
It is worth noting that Chongqing exported computer and communication technology products worth 87.01 billion yuan (12.76 billion U.S. dollars), which accounted for 59.2 percent of its total export growth. (Edited by Yang Bize, Li Xiaohui)
