BEIJING, July 23 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangdong Province and Macao will work together to promote construction of the Belt and Road, improve the infrastructure and facilitate the customs clearance, according to a cooperation framework agreement recently released by Guangdong authorities.
According to the agreement, a cross-border financial cooperation coordination mechanism in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be established this year. The construction of the third channel project of the 220-KV power transmission to Macao will be promoted.
In terms of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangdong and Macao will actively build an international trade platform for the area and jointly go overseas to carry out investment and business environment promotion activities for the area.
Meanwhile, Guangdong and Macao will strengthen the sharing of intellectual property information, hold exchange activities, and promote establishment of a cooperation mechanism for their intellectual property protection departments. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
