BEIJING, July 12 (Xinhua) -- China Eastern Airlines, one of China’s leading airlines, announced on Wednesday that the company will introduce two strategic investors through the share sale.
The company planned to issue no more than 1.615 billion A-shares to a major private carrier Juneyao Air and its controlling shareholder Juneyao Group, as well as the state-owned entity China Structural Reform Fund, and issue up to 517 million H-shares to Juneyao Air and its designated subsidiaries.
The two strategic investors introduced by China Eastern Airlines, one from private capital and the other from state-owned capital, reflect the integration of state-owned capital and non-public capital.
According to the company, the raised fund will be mainly used to expand the company’s fleet, optimize its structure and enhance the core competitiveness of the company’s main business. (Edited by Yang Yifan, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
