BEIJING, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Sinopec Oilfield Service Corporation (600871.SH) announced on July 3 that its wholly-owned subsidiary Sinopec Service signed a drilling equipment contract with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), the Xinhua-run China Securities Journal reported.
According to the announcement, the value of the contract is about 1.06 billion U.S. dollars, equivalent to about 7.013 billion yuan.
The deal will further cement Sinopec Oilfield Service’s position as the largest contractor for KOC’s onshore oil production.
