BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhua) -- China will consider establishing a mechanism of integrated R&D for the new energy intelligent vehicles and build the innovation development platform enterprise for the vehicles at the national level in the future, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), reported by the Xinhua-run Economic Information Daily.
The platform enterprise will promote the R&D of new energy intelligent vehicles in infrastructure standards and technical regulations, said an official of the NDRC.
According to the Economic Information Daily, China will promote establishment of the strategic system for the new energy intelligent vehicles in terms of technological innovation, industrial ecology, regulatory standards, product supervision, and information security.
New energy and intelligence, as the future trend in the development of the automotive industry, have attracted attention from governments, enterprises and the market participants.
In January this year, the NDRC approved the construction of nine research centers, including key components for new energy vehicles, intelligent networking, and power battery recycling.
Experts said that the construction of the research centers can effectively improve the ability of R&D and engineering tests, improve the industry-university-research cooperation mechanism, and enhance the innovation-driven development capability. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
