BEIJING, June 20 (Xinhua) -- 40 scientific research institutions from 18 cities in China and abroad established a Belt and Road (B&R) alliance in Shenyang, capital of northeast China’s Liaoning Province.
The alliance will explore new path for the countries along the B&R routes to cooperate with each other and provide impetus for Shenyang to build itself into the innovation center in Northeast Asia.
The first batch of members in the alliance include 11 domestic scientific research institutions like China Northeast Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., 4 scientific research institutions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences like Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 5 counterparts from the countries along the B&R routes, 10 Liaoning provincial scientific institutions like Liaoning General Aviation Research Institute and 10 ones from education sciences system.
The alliance will bring its intellectual resource advantage into full play to conduct comprehensive research centering around economic and social problems in the B&R countries.
