Ctrip expands cooperation with Booking Holdings -- Ctrip.com International, Ltd. on June 12 announced that it has further strengthened its strategic relationship with U.S.-based Booking Holdings. Deal inked to introduce Alipay, WeChat Pay to East Africa -- Kenya-based regional financial institution Equity Bank and Singapore-based online payment company Red Dot Payment on on June 13 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce Alipay and WeChat Pay to the East African market. Jack Ngare, Managing Director of Equity Bank subsidiary Finserve, told journalists in Nairobi that following the agreement East Africans will be able to use WeChat Pay and Alipay to purchase goods and services in local currency.
Silk Road Fund inks co-op agreements with Uzbek enterprise and bank -- China’s Silk Road Fund (“Fund”) inked a cooperation framework agreement with Uzbekneftegaz to support Uzbek oil and gas projects to provide USD and RMB-denominated funds for the projects. In addition, the Fund also signed an MOU for cooperation with National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan to invite the Chinese companies to participate in the construction of a cultural tourism complex in Samarkand, Uzbekistan's second largest city. The parties aim to help the city build landmark international cultural tourism attractions with Silk Road heritage.
NFC inks USD155mln worth general contract in Congo -- China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering And Construction Co., Ltd. (NFC, 000758.SZ) announced that it had inked general contract with Metalkol SA on the phase II of the RTR project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on June 10. The company is responsible for the general contracting of Metalkol SA's RTR tailings wet smelting treatment plant Phase II expansion project in Congo, with the contract price standing at 155 million U.S. dollars.

Weichai Group sees 40pct revenue from overseas markets in 2017 -- Weichai Group, one of the biggest automobile and equipment manufacturing groups in China, saw 40 percent of its total annual revenue from the overseas markets in 2017, said an official of the group. In 2017, the group achieved annual revenue of more than 220 billion yuan.
