BEIJING, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Xinjiang has seen a total of 1,230 China-Europe freight trains setting off from Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang, in two years after the Urumqi transport hub was opened in 2016, the Xinhua-run Economic Information Daily reported on Thursday.
Since China proposed the Belt and Road Initiative, many provinces and cities in China have already launched the international freight trains. China-Europe freight trains have become the important platform for the open development of the Belt and Road. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
