BEIJING, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Aeromexico plans to work with China Eastern Airlines as codeshare partners to co-explore China-Latin America routes in face of increasing economic and trade exchanges.
China-Latin America economic and trade cooperation kept expanding under the Belt and Road Initiative. Latin America is currently China’s second largest foreign investment destination, and China is the third largest source of investment in Latin America.
This has driven the development of the aviation market, and Air China, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines have all opened China-Latin America routes.
Aeromexico officially launched Shanghai-Mexico City route in 2008, which was the first direct flight from mainland China to Latin America. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
