BEIJING, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Perfect World (002624.SZ) announced that its wholly owned subsidiaries have inked license agreement with Valve Corporation on June 11 to establish Steam China.
Perfect World would work with Valve on the launch, promotion and gaming product introduction of Steam in the Chinese market, the company said.
Under the agreement, Valve would provide software licensing and related technical support for the launch and operation of Steam China, and authorizes Perfect World to use its trademarks and related promotional materials in the promotion of Steam China. Perfect World is responsible for bringing in Steam overseas game products, conducting localization and supporting the distribution and operation of Chinese game products through Steam China.
