BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPD Bank) signed strategic cooperation agreement with Tencent on Monday.
The two sides will conduct all-around cooperation on fintech, innovative financial business and joint marketing in a bid to achieve win-win results.
Gao Guofu, chairman of the SPD Bank, noted that the bank is committed to building itself into the first-class digital eco-bank in China. It is expected that the two sides can work together to provide inclusive financial services for small- and medium-sized enterprises.
Pony Ma, chairman and CEO of Tencent, said that as a high-tech firm, Tencent can offer digital technology for SPD Bank and work with it to provide differentiated and professional services for clients.
According to the agreement, the two sides will conduct cooperation on cloud computing, big data, payment, anti-fraud, artificial intelligence, biological recognition and block-chain. (Edited by Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
