BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Anhui No.1 Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. under China Energy Engineering Group has won the bid for the 33kV substation EPC project in Botteswar of Bangladesh, marking the company’s first entry into the market of Bangladesh.
The Botteswar 33 kV substation EPC project is located in Sylhet in northeast Bangladesh, about 250 kilometers from the capital Dhaka. It is a turnkey EPC project and will be built by international standards such as IEC, BS and ISO.
The owner of the project is Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), which is responsible for the planning, construction and operation of power generation and transmission in Bangladesh. Construction on the project is scheduled to last 365 days.
In recent years, Anhui No.1 Electric Power Construction Company has been closely following the Belt and Road Initiative, optimizing its international business layout, and further consolidating markets in South Asia and Southeast Asia through implementation of a number of overseas projects such as the ones in India, Indonesia and Vietnam.
