BEIJING, June 6 (Xinhua) -- China’s centrally-administrated state-owned enterprises (SOEs) shall adhere to the expansion of opening-up and continue to deepen cooperation with countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes, said Xiao Yaqing, head of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) when he recently visited PetroChina (601857.SH), one of China's largest SOEs.
Xiao said that the centrally-administrated SOEs have to adhere to high-quality development, continuously improve the quality and level of international operations, and become a benchmark for high-quality development.
According to him, deepening international oil and gas cooperation is an important aspect of the Belt and Road Initiative.
PetroChina, also China's largest oil and gas producer, must further expand oil and gas cooperation with countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes, comprehensively strengthen safety production management, strengthen risk prevention and control in key areas, and ensure safe and stable running of the oil and gas regulation network system, Xiao added.
