BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China-located region – Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region saw structural works of its first intercity high-speed rail finished on Monday, according to China Railway Construction Co., Ltd. (CRCC)
The railway, linking up Wuzhong and Zhongwei, will put the two cities into China’s national high-speed rail networks once completed and help shorten the railway trip from Ningxia’s capital city Yinchuan to Lanzhou, the capital city of the neighboring Gansu province to two hours.
As CRCC said, the Wuzhong-Zhongwei intercity high-speed rail project, undertaken by its subsidiary’s subsidiary, the 5th Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Railway 16th Bureau Group, has kicked off construction of bridge ancillary works currently.
