BEIJING, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Internet search giant Baidu Inc. on Friday reached strategic agreement with Shenzhen Expressway to co-build smart transportation lab, according to a report by the Xinhua-run cnstock.com.
The two parties would mainly cooperate on smart transportation, smart environmental protection and informatization upgrade, as well as carry out innovations in areas such as regional transportation planning, operation, and image recognition.
Baidu will work with Shenzhen Expressway on major expressway projects to conduct research and planning on expressway smart construction, operation, management and maintenance. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
