BEIJING, May 29 (Xinhua) -- The road repair project for Kyrgyzstan capital Bishkek with Chinese funding and technology assistance held groundbreaking ceremony on May 25.
The grants and technical assistance provided by the Chinese side are aimed at solving the socio-economic and infrastructure problems in Kyrgyzstan.
The project would be undertaken by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), including restoration of 23 main streets in Bishkek, 38.08 kilometers in total length. The existing roads in the urban area of Bishkek are in disrepair and are seriously damaged. After the project is completed, it will provide more convenient traffic for local residents.
