BEIJING, May 29 (Xinhua) -- The Belt and Road Initiative will build a new platform for mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the Latin American and Caribbean States, according to the Second Meeting of the Political Parties’ Forum China-CELAC.
The Initiative will inject new vitality and open up new prospects for their cooperation.
According to a statement issued at the forum, China and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) will, in the spirit of peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit, actively promote policy coordination and people-to-people bond, facilitate their cooperation in fields such as infrastructure, trade and investment and financing, so as to benefit peoples of the two sides.
