BEIJING, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Pilot certification of the products and services based on the Beidou navigation satellite system, including chips, terminal products, information systems, and operation services has been launched recently.
China’s Certification and Accreditation Administration and the office for management of Beidou Navigation Satellite System said that the pilot certification will further promote the construction of the BeiDou satellite navigation product certification system, help improve the overall quality of Beidou satellite navigation products, and accelerate industrialization process of the Beidou system.
In 2017, China's satellite navigation industry was worth 255 billion yuan, an increase of 20.4 percent year on year.
Experts expect that the industry would maintain a growth of more than 20 percent in 2018 and the total industrial output value will likely exceed 300 billion yuan. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
