BEIJING, May 25 (Xinhua) -- The Hainan Power Grid Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid, has recently started planning for the smart grid construction in the 14th Five-Year Plan period (from 2021 to 2025).
Different from the previous one, the planning of Hainan smart grid from 2021 to 2025 will integrate the existing technology platform and monitoring system in Hainan, and make efforts to build a digital and visual smart grid and promote a smart grid index system which is adapted to the Hainan pilot free trade zone (port).
Moreover, under the planning, Hainan will build a smart micro grid and AC/DC hybrid distribution grid to greatly improve the power supply reliability and anti-interference of important and sensitive users.
The planning is expected to be submitted upon preliminary results in early December this year. (Edited by Jiang Zhengxu, Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
