BEIJING, May 25 (Xinhua) -- QuMei Home Furnishings Group (603818.SH) announced on late Wednesday that it will work with Huatai Zijin to buy up to 100-percent stake in Ekornes ASA, in cash, through its overseas subsidiary QuMei Investment AS.
The Shanghai-listed company issued a cash purchase offer to all shareholders of Ekornes ASA. The tender offer price is 139 Norwegian krone per share. Assuming that all the shareholders of the Ekornes ASA accept the offer, the transaction price will be 5.128 billion Norwegian krone (about 4.063 billion yuan).
Listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, Ekornes ASA is a well-known international furniture brand in the world, especially in the Nordic region. Its production process and product quality are in the leading position in the industry. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
