Earlier, on May 14, China Economic Information Service (CEIS) of Xinhua News Agency and Deutsche Presse Agentur (DPA) signed an agreement on economic information exchanges under the BRI in Hamburg.

According to the agreement, the DPA will regularly provide personalized and customized economic information to the Xinhua Silk Road run by CEIS. The information will be useful for the Chinese enterprises “going global” and those investing in German-speaking countries and regions. Xinhua Silk Road will be exclusively authorized to use the information to help its users better understand investment environment in German-speaking countries and regions.

In exchange, Xinhua Silk Road will regularly provide economic information focusing on investment opportunities in China and countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes to DPA’s global feed platform, dpa-News.

It is understood that through the dpa-News global feed platform, Xinhua Silk Road can present its information to approximately 1,500 end users in Europe and the world, including about 700 corporate users.

Headquartered in Hamburg, the DPA is a major western news agency and the most influential news agency in German-speaking countries. Its global news information collection network covers about 100 countries and regions.

By constructing four service systems, including databases in Chinese and English, credit investigation, counseling and think tank, and trading matchmaking, Xinhua Silk Road provides customers with information searching and release, information screening, personalized counseling, and trading matchmaking services related to Belt and Road construction.  (Contributed by Ma Xin, edited by Hu Pingchao, [email protected])
