BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Four cargo trucks carrying TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers) plates left China through Manzhouli land port in Inner Mongolia on Sunday, marking the beginning of China’s TIR transport under the TIR Convention (the Convention on International Transport of Goods Under Cover of TIR Carnets).
According to chinanews.com, the cargo trucks were loaded with 28 tonnes of apple, departing from Dalian on May 18 with the destination of Novosibirsk, Russia.
As of January 2018, there are 73 parties to the TIR Convention.
