FRANKFURT, May 15 (Xinhua) -- China Economic Information Service (CEIS) of Xinhua News Agency and Deutsche Presse Agentur (DPA) on Monday signed an agreement on economic information exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative in Hamburg.
The signing of the agreement marked the implementation of the first concrete project of the Belt and Road Economic and Financial Information Partnership, initiated by CEIS and the Europe Regional Bureau of Xinhua News Agency.
Under the agreement, the DPA will regularly provide personalized and customized economic information to the Xinhua Silk Road, a state information service platform focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative. The information will be useful for the Chinese enterprises “going global” and those investing in German-speaking countries and regions. Xinhua Silk Road will be exclusively authorized to use the information to help its users better understand investment environment in German-speaking countries and regions.
In exchange, Xinhua Silk Road will regularly provide economic information focusing on investment opportunities in China and countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes to DPA’s global feed platform, dpa-News.
It is understood that through the dpa-News global feed platform, Xinhua Silk Road can present its information to approximately 1,500 end users in Europe and the world, including about 700 corporate users.
On Monday, on behalf of Europe Regional Bureau of Xinhua News Agency and CEIS, Yan Feng, president of Berlin Branch of Xinhua News Agency, attended the signing ceremony, and signed the agreement with Rainer Finke, director of International Marketing & Sales of DPA.
The DPA looks forward to taking exchanges of the economic information under the Belt and Road as a starting point to further deepen cooperation with Xinhua Silk Road in directional information push and customized report services, said Rainer Finke.
Headquartered in Hamburg, the DPA is a major western news agency and the most influential news agency in German-speaking countries. Its global news information collection network covers about 100 countries and regions.
Xinhua Silk Road is a national information service platform focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative. By constructing four service systems, including databases in Chinese and English, credit investigation, counseling and think tank, and trading matchmaking, it provides customers with information searching and release, information screening, personalized counseling, and trading matchmaking services related to Belt and Road construction.
