China exported 3,677.7 tons of huangjiu, or yellow rice wine, from January to March 2018, a decrease of 6.0 percent year on year. The exports amounted to 6.0 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 6.7 percent year on year. The average price was 1,626.6 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 0.8 percent year on year.
In March alone, China exported 1,378.9 tons of yellow rice wine, an increase of 22.8 percent month on month. The exports amounted to 2.2 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 24.5 percent month on month. The average price was 1,562.1 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 1.4 percent month on month. Compared with March 2017, there was a decrease of 12.3 percent in quantity, a decrease of 25.8 percent in value, and a decrease of 15.3 percent in average price.
In terms of export destination by continents, Asia imported 2,353.3 tons of yellow rice wine from China from January to March 2018, a decrease of 7.9 percent year on year, or 4.9 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 8.4 percent year on year, at an average price of 2,102.4 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 0.5 percent year on year; Europe imported 1,127.0 tons, a decrease of 5.5 percent year on year, or 657,102 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 5.7 percent year on year, at an average price of 583.1 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 0.2 percent year on year; South America imported 6.3 tons, an increase of 133.3 percent year on year, or 12,010 U.S. dollars, an increase of 339.1 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,906.3 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 88.2 percent year on year; North America imported 178.5 tons, an increase of 18.8 percent year on year, or 340,473 U.S. dollars, an increase of 15.6 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,907.3 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 2.7 percent year on year; Oceania imported 12.7 tons, an increase of 42.0 percent year on year, or 24,881 U.S. dollars, an increase of 52.2 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,966.3 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 7.2 percent year on year.
In March alone, Asia imported 946.2 tons of yellow rice wine, a decrease of 16.7 percent year on year, or 1.9 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 24.2 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,970.1 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 9.0 percent year on year; Europe imported 401.3 tons, an increase of 25.2 percent year on year, or 250,377 U.S. dollars, an increase of 17.7 percent year on year, at an average price of 623.9 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 6.0 percent year on year; North America imported 26.9 tons, a decrease of 74.9 percent year on year, or 30,762 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 85.5 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,145.4 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 42.3 percent year on year; Oceania imported 4.6 tons, a decrease of 48.6 percent year on year, or 8,821 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 46.0 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,928.1 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 5.1 percent year on year.
Among all the countries and regions that imported yellow rice wine from China from January to March 2018, in terms of value, Japan ranked first with 3.3 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 15.9 percent year on year; Hong Kong ranked second with 964,172 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 8.0 percent year on year; the United States ranked third with 334,302 U.S. dollars, an increase of 36.7 percent year on year.
In March alone, Japan ranked first with 1.2 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 36.6 percent year on year; Hong Kong ranked second with 362,038 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 6.1 percent year on year; Malaysia ranked third with 89,721 U.S. dollars, an increase of 242.5 percent year on year.
