China exported 4,409.3 tons of oolong tea from January to March 2018, an increase of 19.8 percent year on year. The value of China's oolong tea exports amounted to 39.2 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 65.2 percent year on year. The average price was 8,883.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 37.9 percent year on year.
In March alone, China exported 1,556.5 tons of oolong tea, an increase of 33.1 percent month on month. The exports amounted to 14.2 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 83.7 percent month on month. The average price was 9,102.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 38.0 percent month on month. Compared with March 2017, there was an increase of 13.0 percent in quantity, an increase of 40.7 percent in value, and an increase of 24.5 percent in average price.
Among all the countries and regions that imported oolong tea from China from January to March 2018, in terms of value, Hong Kong ranked first with 10.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 118.4 percent year on year; Japan ranked second with 8.6 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 0.3 percent year on year; Vietnam ranked third with 6.6 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 114.2 percent year on year.
In March alone, Hong Kong ranked first with 4.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 67.9 percent year on year; Japan ranked second with 3.4 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.2 percent year on year; Vietnam ranked third with 2.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 128.9 percent year on year.
