BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) -- A development plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is expected to come out this month, the Securities Daily reported on Thursday.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is composed of nine cities in Guangdong Province including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and two special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao.
The development plan will help promote the effective integration and interconnection of resource elements such as transportation, capital, information qualifications and standards in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, provide broad space for the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao, and promote the complementary advantages of Hong Kong, Macao and the above nine cities of Guangdong Province, said Liang Haiming, head of China Silk Road iValley Research Institute.
