BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) -- "Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report 2017 of China's National Brands” co-developed by China Economic Information Service (CEIS) of Xinhua News Agency and the Research Center for Corporate Social Responsibility with Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) was released on Wednesday in Shanghai.
The report gives in-depth analysis on CSR characteristics and trends of China's national brands by presenting 20 case studies picked out of the country’s top 100 national brands based on thorough market research, interviews and analysis.
Chinese brands now have enhanced CSR awareness and improved consistency, variety of ways and innovation in their CSR undertaking, according to the report.
Company’s core responsibility is to provide social and environmental solutions and improve people’s life by its strategies and operations, according to Zhong Hongwu, director of the CASS CSR center, noting that Chinese brands now have higher CSR awareness, but social responsibility management system is yet to be established to better trace responsibility undertaking.
The report release is part of Xinhua News Agency's National Brands Project activities for the country’s Chinese Brands Day. Yuexing Group, Master Kong, the Anji Logistics under SAIC Motor, etc. provided conference support for the report release.
