BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- More and more Spanish products have entered the Chinese market through the Yiwu-Madrid freight route, which has greatly promoted the growth of economic and trade between China and Spain.
Since 2014, Spain's total exports to Yiwu, the world’s largest wholesale market for small consumer goods, have increased by more than 300 percent, according to the People’s Daily.
In 2017, east China’s Zhejiang Province where Yiwu is located imported 578 million U.S. dollars worth of goods from Spain, representing a year-on-year growth of 49.9 percent.
In November 2014, the Yiwu-Madrid freight route was launched, with a distance of over 13,000 kilometers across eight countries. (Edited by Jiang Zhengxu, Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
