BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Shenzhen, one of China's four major special economic zones, has recently set up the Belt and Road Tax Service Base in its Qianhai free trade zone, in order to further optimize the tax business environment.
The establishment of the tax service base is supported by Shenzhen Bureau of State Administration of Taxation, Shenzhen Local Taxation Bureau and Qianhai Administration, aiming to create a regional tax service cooperation platform.
“In the past, due to the lack of understanding of international taxation policies and poor communication with foreign taxation departments, companies had suffered from tax losses,” said Zeng Hongjun, head of Micropoint Bioscience in Shenzhen, “Now, the taxation department has provided a lot of tax facilities and service for ‘going global’ enterprises to dispel many concerns of outbound investment.”
Since the establishment three years ago, Qianhai Free Trade Zone has accelerated the construction of the Belt and Road. At present, more than 4,300 enterprises in Shenzhen have invested overseas and 6,004 enterprises or organizations have been established in 137 countries and regions.
