BEIJING, May 4 (Xinhua) -- The world's leading bike-sharing platform Ofo recently began its service in Otsu, Japan.
Ofo reached a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the city’s planning firm, and at the same time cooperated with many local parties and established 66 "shared bicycle service stations" in compliance with Japan's operating regulations.
Ofo started service in the city’s downtown area and popular tourist areas. It charges 100 yen (about 5.8 yuan) for 30 minutes, 500 yen (about 28.9 yuan) for the daily card, and 2,500 yen (about 144.5 yuan) for the monthly card.
The Ofo entered the Japanese market at the end of March, and set foot in 3 cities in a month. Previously, it had already provided services in Wakayama and Kitakyushu. (Edited by Yang Yifan, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
