BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- China imported 321.1 tonnes of gin from January to FMarch, 2018, down 2.8 percent year on year, according to a monthly report jointly released by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's gin imports amounted to 1.268 million U.S. dollars during the period, an increase of 10.7 percent on year.
In March alone, China imported 86.5 tonnes of gin, down 50.7 percent on year, with value standing at 373,000 U.S. dollars, down 38.5 percent year on year.
From January to March, 2018, among all the countries and regions that export gin to China, the United Kingdom (UK) ranked the first by 835,000 U.S. dollars in value of gin, up 0.7 percent year on year followed by Japan and South Africa..
