GUANGZHOU, May 2 (Xinhua) - China's Hainan Airlines has announced it will add a direct air route in August from China's southern city of Guangzhou to Tel Aviv, Israel's second-largest city.
The air route will operate three times a week using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, according to the airline.
The company launched two air routes connecting Tel Aviv to Beijing and Shanghai in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
More than 113,000 Chinese traveled to Israel in 2017, up 41 percent year on year, according to Israel's tourism office.
