BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 12,755.0 metric tons (tonnes) of duck and its products, an increase of 6.6 percent year on year from January to March this year, according to a monthly report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's duck and its products exports during the period amounted to about 37.739 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.2 percent year on year.
In March, China exported 5,008.3 tonnes of duck and its products, an increase of 34.9 percent month on month and the value of China's duck and its products exports amounted to about 14.024 million U.S. dollars, up 27.6 percent month on month.
According to the report, Hong Kong ranked first by value in March, among all the countries and regions that imported duck and its products from China, with the duck and its products import worth 4.625 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 10.0 percent year on year.
