BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 94,349.1 metric tons (tonnes) of chicken and its products, an increase of 9.1 percent year on year from January to March this year, according to a monthly report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's chicken and its products exports during the period amounted to about 326.45 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 13.1 percent year on year.
In March, China exported 33,025.4 tonnes of chicken and its products, an increase of 26.3 percent month on month and the value of China's chicken and its products exports amounted to about 116.985 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 32.5 percent month on month.
According to the report, Japan ranked first by value in March, among all the countries and regions that imported chicken and its products from China, with the chicken and its products import worth 67.156 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 12.9 percent year on year.
