BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 4,012.5 metric tons (tonnes) of Baijiu in the first three months of 2018, a decrease of 6.2 percent year on year, according to a month report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's Baijiu exports amounted to 82.34 million U.S. dollars in January to March, a decrease of 20.9 percent year on year. The average price was 20,520.8 U.S. dollars per ton, down 15.7 percent year on year.
China exported 1,371.6 tonnes of Baijiu in March, 2018, a increase of 12.4 percent month on month. The value of China's Baijiu exports amounted to 20.849 million U.S. dollars during the period, a decrease of 22.6 percent month on month. The average price is 15,200.7 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 31.2 percent month on month.
Compared with March 2017, there was an increase of 8.1 percent in quantity, a decrease of 43.6 percent in value, and a decrease of 47.8 percent in average price. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
