BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 759.7 metric tons (tonnes) of pu-er tea in the first quarter of the year, an increase of 47.2 percent year on year, according to a monthly report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's pu-er tea exports during the period amounted to about 6.55 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 82.4 percent year on year.
In March, 2018, China exported 236.3 tonnes of pu-er tea, up 58.2 percent month on month and the value of China's pu-er tea exports amounted to about 2.09 million U.S. dollars, up 50.9 percent month on month. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
